Mary Caesar, Owner
Mary Caesar, a member of the Kaska First Nation, grew up in Upper Liard Yukon. Learning traditional teachings and skills from her parents, Alfred and Minnie Caesar. In 1999, she moved to Nanaimo BC to study Fine Arts at Malaspina University, focusing on sculpture, ceramics, photography, earth art and painting.
Mary is grateful for the support she received from the Dana Naye Ventures team when she applied for the Indigenous Women Entrepreneurs Micro Loan to start her business, Mary Caesar Arts and Crafts. With DNV help, Mary has been successful in turning her business dreams into reality. She appreciates the opportunity to showcase her creativity and entrepreneurship through her arts and crafts business. Mary is excited about the future growth of her business and looks forward to making a positive impact in her community.
